can happen on both mate, theres a fine line on incline between training your delts and pecs.
when your benching:-
lay down and place feet flat on the floor
arch your lower back slightly
raise your ribcage up high
squeeze your shoulderblades together
pull your shoulders downwards and push them into the bench and really "feel" the movement coming from your pecs
