I put a bit of Robinsons lemon barley juice, or the orange flavour.....you can get no sugar ones....but a tiny bit of the regular wouldn't hurt I guess...unless you are doing strict eating stuff...I'm not so I sometimes use the normal one.....

Add a few ice cubes. Much more refreshing/enjoyable. Other than that, I can't really recommend anything.

I've heard Crystal Light is pretty good, but it's very rare in the UK. eBay and Amazon have some, but be prepared to pay over the odds.

What's the worst that could happen?

I hate plain water so for me its diluted juice........Asda double strength one is only 0.1g per 100ml carb content so its ideal.

I can second that Crystal Light option.  Really nice, if you hae a family member who's in america anytime soon, ask them to buy a tonne of them, they're small and much cheaper there.
As someone said, you pay out the a** here.

Other than water I'm a Pepsi Max man, although yo've given up fizzy drinks.

I find drinking plain water quite difficult so I usually add no-sugar squash.

Another vote for the no added sugar squash approach. Super markets own brand does the job nicely!

Supermarket Own brand squash does it for me.
I somtetimes use a lemon or lime segment, can be bought from most supermarkets in the frozen section add 1 or 2 in a glass of water and gives a nice lil flavouring.

These are always good option to ice cubes for any vodka drinkers nice taste with a chill.

Yes some freshly sliced lemon in it is nice as well - relieves the boredom somewhat!

I don't mind plain water but like to go for fizzy water or ice (lots) and fresh lime/fresh orange.

The only non-sweetener cordials I like don't seem to be sold in any of the supermarkets, otherwise I'd go for that.

The sugar free versions of double strength squash from the supermarket. Usually cherries & berries, or summre fruits.

I tend to make up a bottle, or maybe a jug of it and keep it in the fridge. I make it very weak. Probably only 50-75ml per litre at most.

Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak

that research on aspartame looks bogus to me - they gave the equivalent of 14 cans' worth of aspartame to the females and 13 to the males. Going by body weight that would be like giving the average human approx. 2,000 cans of diet coke a day. I'm pretty sure that no-one gets through that many cans, which would go some way to explaining why the world isn't overrun by people with rumours from drinking diet coke, as this research would suggest would be the case
