What do you do if you really want to train but it's a rest day?

I'm already doing 6 days a week and am totally bored on the 7th day.  (I'm working overseas and have way too much free time and no entertainment outlets.)
Maybe I should go and just train abs or something..

Find some other activity to relieve the boredom.
Rest days are an important part of a program.

Ignorance: Reassuringly Expensive.

Rest days are as crucial as the training itself. If you're training 6 days a week, you should be pretty sore/tired on the 7th. Maybe you're not training as hard as you should be for the 6 days?

Do what God did - rest.  Besides resting is when your body grows.

My rest days come when my body tells me. ie yesterday. That was after 8 days on. I don't take a rest day if my energy, power, drive to train is there. Saying that, if I felt I needed 2 rest days on the bounce I'd take that too.
I wouldn't recommend training cos you're bored lol but just listen to your body.

I completely agree with whitesnake. Train if and when you feel good. Rest if you feel you need. 1, 2, even 3 days rest on the spin can be just as beneficial as training 6,7,8+ days on the spin

150kg flat press
200kg x 2 dead lift
150kg squat
90kg clean and press

Totally depends on what you're doing, a heavy upper day, followed by a heavy lower day would make sense to take a day off and then repeat.

However just hitting chest one day or cardio on another day would mean I'd barely need a day completely off.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.
