We have been reading about the various companies that supply whey based on peoples reports here on MT, but would really appreciate direct advice.

We are currently paying around £12 for 900gms of whey (around 17gms/25gm serving) from Holland and Barrett.

Cheers. I don't think anyone needs to think in terms of a different protein because they've become more serious. A pro can use a concentrate as well as a newbie.

A blend is probably best, but it will be more pricey.

Thanks all, does it make a big difference between 70% and 80% protein or is that really just a cost issue for the extra 10%?

I would go for My protein personally.

Have done for the last few years and is cheaper than what you have listed at roughly £30 for 4.5 kgs.

Thanks Bigtime and thanks Myprotein. Whey turned up tuesday am after being ordered last friday.

Mixes very well in semi-skimmed milk with a fork (no blenders) and tastes of not a lot (possibly skimmed milk powder is the nearest if anything) lobbed a bit of nesquik strawberry in and perfect !

Nice one MP, I will be ordering again when this lot runs out !
