What size Barbell?

Hi everyone! Another Fresh face here! Just starting out in the world of BB. Been looking on this site for the last week or so and its great all the support that is offered! I definately know where to come if ever I'm stuck with training, nutrition etc.
Anyway to the point!!! I'm seeking out a Barbell but not sure what size to get! I'm 5ft 2" and my boyfriend will also be using the bar and he's nearly 6ft. Hoping someone could shed some light! Many Thanks

If I was kitting a home gym out, I'd go with an olympic size barbell that are 20kg's, just my opinion though..

I'd probably start out with some thing like the one below

    http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/store/product.asp?dept%5Fid=50&pf%5Fid=Powerhouse%5F6foot%5FStandard%5FSpinlock%5FBarbell%5Fwith%5Fcollars

Then if you are happy with this and make good progress move onto the olympic barbell that weighs in at 20kg.

Will also depend on your budget. You can pick up 2nd weights/benches fairly cheaply so might be worthwhile looking into that

Are you talking about the weight of the barbell?

Look for around 50kg to start out with.
