What time of day do you train?

I always train straight after work at around 5.30pm which is also peak time at my gym!

What time does everyone else train and is there a benefit to training at a different time of day?

i trained 10-12 last night, got 4 hours sleep and then was up at 6 this morning to do shoulders as my work pattern's all over the show this week. I'm struggling to keep my eyes open here.

I train between 2 and 3pm.  Nearly always fits in with my shift pattern and get done before picking my lad up from school.  Train at home.

Depends on shift but sometime 6-7am or 6:30-7:30pm. If weekend, anytime.
Thing I like about the morning is, you are tired but you're tired because you're waking up...every set, you build energy. After a looooong day at work you can have flagging levels.
Positive to evenings=amount of chics in the gym...helps workout ALOT

I'm yet to train early in the morning? Im tempted to give it ago, would mean i have to be in the gym for around 7am though. I'm not too bothered about the amount of girls in the gym without sounding homosexual haha i just like to put my headphones in, get in the zone and smash my workout.

there were 2 bawbags on one bench last night, both on their phones, waiting for their bawbag mates on the smith machine. fortunately, they have a lot of benches, but it's frustrating when it's *really* busy

Lunchtimes, 12:30-1:30, not too busy, can generally get on most equipment.

9am every day, with just another 3-4 good guys there. Only when kids are not in school I go at 3pm. Later , it's full of weight unracking testosterone  posers and I can't stand it.

Re: What time of day do you train? 2014/10/14 15:53:20 (permalink)
6am Mon - Fri.  I started this last year to fit in with a new job and family life.  Circumstances have changed and I could train in the evenings now but I've got used to it.  My gym is quite a big place and it's dead at 6am so it's great.  I also go running in the evenings so that's another reason to keep the morning routine.

I train fasted, just a caffeine tab and some coconut oil to fuel the session, then eat a decent breakfast at work. It took some getting used to at first but I'm now hitting PB's and in the best shape of my life.  Leg sessions are hard at that time of the morning and I keep thinking of finding a spare evening or weekend slot to train my legs and give the sessions the focus they deserve.

My gym is the local leisure centre so have to fit into its opening hours 8am-9pm weekdays and less at weekends. My shifts at work tend to be either 8am -4.30pm  or 11.30-8.00pm So My workouts alternate between mornings and evenings. Evenings are busy but the atmosphere is good, mornings are quiet so you get freedom on the equipment but its a bit like training in a morgue!

Early afternoon 1-2pm

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.
