What's your total?

Still working my way back from injury (serious ankle break in Jan) but decided to test my maxs this week. I got a total of 400 kg - 160 dead, 130 squat and 110 bench. I know there are a lot of strong people on here but I'm happy with that considering I am still limping. 500 next 😊.

Oh I have vids if you need to check my depth 😋

So what's your total?

Well done mate, that is good stuff. I don't ever test my max lifts as I don't need to, but I will give it a bash over the next few weeks. I would hazard a guess around the 400 mark.

I don't bench heavy as my shoulders don't like it, going off standard 3/4/5 ratio it'd be in the region of
    450 I should think.

    My best is 190, 145, 195.

I'm not at 100% atm on those lifts though as I'm concentrating on Olympic weightlifting. Probs around 90%.

I want a 230 total in that. 100 snatch and 130 clean & jerk. I'll need to add at least 10-15kg to my current front squat to do this.

    Body Weight - 83kg
    Bench - 145kg
    Squat - 190kg
    Clean & Jerk - 129kg
    Snatch - 98kg

Why the big difference between dead and squat?

Why the big difference between dead and squat?

    Natural deadlifter, poor squatter.

I hit 210kg in wraps a few years back but compete raw so no wraps these days. Very much work in  progress with squats and have really been focusing in on dialing in technique in squats so i should see some good jumps up in weight with luck. Finished on 160kg x 5 x 5 before my last comp and still only hit a 175 squat, every rep felt different so taking things back to basics and focusing on perfect form for my proportions. The way its going my deads will be double my squats, not good!

Im new to chasing numbers so not sure what I am suited to. I feel that the squat will be easier to increase for me but on the flip side I think it will help my dead as I always feel squats in my hams and glutes.

I am 6ft 3 evenly proportioned for my height. So what should I be better at?

Ps. I sumo deadlift due ankle flexibility and I now squat with heels raised for same reason.

Hard to tell without seeing vids mate but you will soon find which is your best lift(s) as it will feel more natural and will increase easier. I'd imagine at that height you will have long arms so bench could be tougher but you can never tell. Just attack every lift the same using good form in your chosen program, you'll soon see which lifts you struggle with, just need to keep working on them.

Also i will add work on your ankle flexibility, get them flexible, it will help in the long run.
Also usually most taller lifters use a conventional pull technique, sumo is often used my shorter lifters, not to say it won't work but once ankle mobility is sorted you may find conventional better.

Def squat. It's p!sspoor. I weigh 140kg so only squatting my body weight. Hopefully the body weight I lose will go on the bar, but I need to improve flexibility a lot.

    Squat 220kg(3) - Bench 200Kg - Deadlift 250kg - Strict Press 130kg - Push Press 140kg

In the gym have benched 165 and deadlifted 280. So all lift total 700kg.

160/110/180 so 450. Could probably get the deads a lot higher if I ever did them.

not entirely sure for a couple of them - got 152.5 on squat a couple of months ago, it's definintely always been my weakest (although I can't bench for sh1t anymore after separating my shoulder).  Pulled a double on 180 abot the same time as the squat, but been working on both as 531 and pulled 12 on 155 on Thursday so hoping for closer to 200 all at about 85kg bw.

After illness last july, back at benching 117kg
    Cant squat
    Cant deadlift
But i`m very happy with results, couldnt bench the bar this time last year.
