When did you stop bothering with Birthdays?

I'm 26 today and for the first time ever I literally cannot be bothered with the fuss that comes with birthdays. The novelty has well and truly gone, all my mates are heckling telling me I ought to be out but I could think of anything worse.

Is this normal?

21st was the last birthday I had that I was pumped for, since then not really cared less (and that was 21 years ago this December (fcuk me)

Have never been fussed by birthdays just another day to me.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Never been one to overly make a fuss about it. I used to get embarassed when my form teacher used to get the rest of the class to sing happy birthday. The way I mark it hasn't changed much in 20 years or so, with the exception of now because of fb more people know about it, so spend a good bit of time replying to messages.

Other than maybe going out for dinner, not fussed at all about birthdays since about 21.

Turned 40 this year, everyone around me saying that you have to do something special, have a party etc.. Genuinely couldn't be arsed about it, so instead took the wife & kids to centre parcs for the weekend of my birthday, nothing special but it was for me. I don't spend much quality time with the wife & kids so it was great to have 4 whole days of just family time.

Just do what you want to do mate, don't be pressured into celebrating your birthday for others sake.

Dont care at all but was lucky my 30th and 31st coincided with Ibiza and then Oktoberfest trips with a group so worked out pretty fcking epic. Every other one i can think of was **** including the one last week where i didn't speak to another human being and walked the dog in the fcking rain on blackpool beach. Was about as depressed as I have ever been with my life. lol

    Happy birthday mate.

My 30th was last week. I didnt do anything good. A meal with mates and that's it. I had the option of a sky dive or a load of wakeboarding gear.... i picked the wakeboard gear

Never really been that fussed for my own, probably the last time I was really excited for one was when I was a kid and off to the natural history/science museum. But, I always make a big deal out of other's birthdays

Never have done anything for my birthday, I dont like the idea of everyone having to do something just because its my birthday. And I also dont like being the center of attention.

I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

I always go for a meal + drink up or bbq + house party.

I really enjoy them. My recent 24th was good fun. Bbq + trashing my house. Took 2 days to tidy but it was worth it. Big get together of old and new friends.

Love my birthday do's. The routine's generally a 7 a side footy match about 11 / 12 o'clock (I put together a team of me and my mates and find another team to play against). Then a pub lunch, followed by a few hours drinking at my house followed by a trip into town (normally to find a pub with a karaoke on).

I probably look forward to these more than I used to because now I'm 30 and mates around the same age, these sort of days happen far less than they used to a few years back.

    Current Fitness Goals
    1 mile run, sub 5 mins 30 (currently 5:02)
    500m rower, sub 1 mins 30 (currently 1:32.1)
10 mile bike, sub 26 mins (currently 25:48)

Lol and most of the birthday cards for 40+ guys are poking fun at your age lol. My mum is the only one who sends me a card that isn't poking fun at my age ha ha! But then she is 30yrs older than me, she probably thinks I'm a spring chicken!
