When do you do shoulders?

I'm struggling to fit in shoulders into my 3 day split. Have stuck with Frankies, and, it's fantastic! But, I notice my rear delts, traps and bi's are seriously lacking.

Should I include a 4th day of shoulders and bi's perhaps? (i'll do rear delts with back; is this okay?)

Is 4 days cool or should I stick with a 3 day split?

I'm thinking:
- Military press: 5x5
- Upright row: 3x8
- Shrugs: 4x6

Obviously this may be too much to "throw in". I'm curious though when you guys do shoulders. Cheers.

If you are finding that frankie's works for you then don't bother throwing in another day, enjoy the rest.

The shoulder work in this routine is normally done as part of the push day ie with chest and tri's.

If you feel you need a bit more then try the shrugs as part of the leg day. This is where I do my grip work static holds. At the end of the leg exercises I find that I can do grip work (and you could shrug) because my grip has not been compromised to much by the SLDL's and I can go to failure on the statics without affecting any other exercise (as well as still having 2 day recovery 'till the next pull set (assuming mon, wed, fri - pull, push, leg).

IMO don't bother with the upright rows at all. I hate the movement and you should be fine with military press and shrugs (and every other exercise in the routine wich also hit the shoulders, traps etc.)

I do shoulders and traps.. then have a rest day before chest otherwise I find my shoulders are still a bit tired.

Might try chest and shoulders at some point.

I am debating doing shoulders/tricep rather than chest/tricep and having chest and legs on there own days as they are my problem areas.

I do shoulders with biceps & triceps. Upright DB press 3x8 followed by bent over DB rear raises 2x8. For biceps i do reverse grip BB curls 2x8 followed by regular BB curls 3x8. My 3 day split is chest/back, shoulders/bis/tris, legs.

    Shoulders and tri's. Shoulders first.

    Military press
upright rows (don't care what anyone says, they work with proper form)
    shrugs in smith machine
    reverse weighted hanging shrug
    reverse peck dec
seated rows with rope to chin

I now realize that you didn't ask what to do, you asked when to do it. Oh well, there it is. All good workouts.
