    Try watsons mate!
Be warned they are expensive as they are machined, not cast...this means the weight is quite precise though.

Its when you slowly add weight to the bar each week, a very minimal amount. Hopefully the idea is if you increase the weight 2lb a week on say squats, train legs once a week = 52 weeks, thats 100lb in one year, Thats just an example.

what's the point of microloading rather than putting on larger amounts of weight though?

Using very small increments to get a constant gain on the weight lifted.
For example u might bench press 140KG then next time u might add an extra 250 grams, tiny amount but it adds up over a long time.
It may not be possible for u to go from 140 to 142 1/2 as u may not physically be able to cope with the extra 2 1/2 KG
Watsons can be contacted on this number 01373 859617.
Ask to speak to Simon.Hes the boss and hes very knowledgeable.
    A pair of 0.125kg are £15
    a pair of 0.25 kg are £15
    a pair of 0.5kg are £10.
Like I said a bit pricey but u have to take into account every one is turned by hand and weighed....they are not a mass produced cast item.
All of their equipment is well made and durable......thats a very good comment coming from a fussy fooker like me!

doesnt your gym have 1 kg plates, and wouldn't those be small enough? I don't use a british gym, true, but mine has 1.1 kg weights...

if your at your top weight even 1kg is a jump ,this is where microloading comes into its own.you can even use some metal washer's .
