Where do I start?

Hi all,

After some advice.... I'm 28 and been training for 4 years. I'd say the last 3 years have been involving 3-5 training sessions a week. In the last year I've been fortunate to train with one of the biggest guys in the gym who has suggested that I'm ready to look into my 1st cycle. I'm not really interested in competing but would still like to build.

When I started I was a puny 8 stone lol and now fluctuate between 14-14.7 stone at 5' 6". I've only ever supplemented with Protein and Creatine.

I'm interested to hear recommendations on here as my first cycle and generally what gains can be expected. I'll be asking some people at my gym but many of the guys are on IGF-1, Growth and various steds so I'm not sure what they will suggest. (Obviously I'm not looking to do anything like that). I've read the great articles on this site but will need to read them again as everything has yet to sink in!!

I do have concerns about acne and mood swings? Not fussed about hair loss 'cos it's almost cleared off lol! Is it wise to get myself checked over before starting even on a light course?

    I would get my test levels etc checked so you know your baseline. If your Diet and training are adequate (from what I've read it seems that way), go with 500mg test for a first cycle.

    Have your diet checked in the diet/nutrition forum. Read up on Post Cycle Therapy http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/clomid-hcg.aspx.

    Have your gains slowed/plateued and that's your reason for starting gear?
    From what I've read you've gained 6 stone?? Good gains mate/if all is not fat of course

    My training is good and I consume approx 5k calories but I know there is room for improvement. I'll check that section of the forum out.

    Yes I've put on 6 stone but as much as I'd like to claim it's all LBM it's not! Although I have built up decent muscle mass - the local gym said I could probably compete in the first timers class later in the year but it has no appeal to me. (Probably because I don't think I look big enough!).

    Yes thats correct. Each year I've gained fairly easy in weight but so far this year it's been real tough going. I've taken in more calories and changed the routine around including the number of training sessions.

    agreed with Keane on this one... 500mg test pw for ten weeks is a good starter... also check out the pct sticky at the top and you'll also wanna run an anti-e during cycle... I prefer a-dex, mainly because it's a top quality med for inhibiting estrogen and I know it ie I've used it and it worked great for me!! other's you may consider are aromasin or letro... letro is fairly strong from what I understand and really is only nec if you are gyno prone which you don't know yet!! and you should have some nolva on hand should gyno begin.. but really with a good AI you shouldn't have any problems!! good luck!!
