Which new belt

i Wanted to get a new belt as im lifting alot more heavier weights these days. But im not sure on the 10 mm or the 13mm. Is there much difference? i was looking at ordering the economy 13mm from inzer, not that the cost is an option, it just seems the best deal as im no pro like.

I would recommend something like a 13mm from Inzer, double prong.

No point of having a £100+ lever belt and a pound shop squat! Not saying you do, but all you need is a decent, basic power belt. I have a Safe USA training belt (bottom of the range).. and it's done me good for 4 years.

Got the exact same one yesterday ! not tried it yet. I dont wear a belt so I'm interested to see how it feels.

No biggie like, there are a lot worse things for you than using steroids, I mean I probably shouldn't have been smoking crack or getting into bar fights at your age TBH  - drab4

You'll find theres a lot more support in the hole of the squat as the belt tightens the further down you go, which should help you maintain a neutral spine/back arch. I've found as well if emphasises a nice slow decent, if you bounce into it then you'll bounce out and probably lose your balance and end up doing a mammoth Good Morning!

Practice with it a bit first to get to grips with it, and be prepared for it to dig into your waist for a few weeks.

If you want 13mm then the Titan Toro belts (single prong) are good from liftinglarge.com. That's what I use for squat and deadlift.

13mm is a thick belt though and if you only small or not needing massive support then a 10-11mm may be better. The APT belts at extremepowerlifting.co.uk are good value for money aswell and everyone seems to like them that's got one.

Good idea to try a 13mm belt and see if it's ok for you is possible.
