White Rice Vs Brown Rice

What is the real difference between the two?

Reason i asked i have switched to white rice just simply because i find brown rice to be very dry but i also find i look alot fuller eating white rice instead of brown or is it just me?

Just the GI level.

White rice will spike your blood sugar and insulin more quickly than brown rice which is a Low GI  carb.

I stick to white rice pre or post workout.

Usually post.

Same goes for sweet v white potato.

White rice has also been suspected of having pro-Diabetic properties.  I avoid it like the plague, as quite a few of my forebears had it.

Basmati rice has a lower GI than brown or white and tastes much better IMO.
