Whittaker V Romero II

Sorry if there’s already a thread on this, went two days back couldn’t see one

Who is your money on? I’d like to see Romero win he’s awesome and would be incredible at his age, Whittaker is formidable as hell though

Interested in Holm Vs Anderson too if anyone’s interested in women’s division. Respect Holm so much and hope she wins, her record suggests she’s cabable but Anderson seems to have a fear factor and dominance about her

Weird seeing Rashad Evans and Overeem on prelims too, didn’t realise how big a loss streak Evans was actually on, things have changed...

I want all the Aussies to win. I really like Holm too but an Anderson win would set up a Cyborg fight, especially if its a good win. I like Whittaker too, so hope he wins. Tai tuivasa should hopefullt win too but it's more of a test for him.

RDA v Colby is an exciting one too. Hope RDA wins, but I wouldnt be suprised if Colby won based on takedowns

Its a bit ****ed that Rashad and overeem have been dropped to the prelims for CM Punk.

Romero narrowly misses weight. Looks like the fight's still on but I don't know if it's going to be for the title.

There needs to be stronger repercussions for missing weight, especially when its more than once like Yoel and big Mac Dern.

They’re moving the weigh ins back to the original times, like midnight here

Yeah. Really annoyed with Romero missing weight, again. It’s so frustrating because I like that guy so much he’s a fave, so when this happens it’s just like come onnn man

Just read your first comment daz - yeah I’m hoping RDA kicks the sh*t out of colby too but have a dodgy feeling it might not happen. Hope I’m wrong

I buy into the Colby stuff. Obvious he’s playing a character and playing it badly but f**k it, the sport needs some drama.

Well done Colby. Skipped the Romero fight but Whitaker by decision just makes me want to snooze. Uninspiring fighter IMO

CM Punk, showed genuine heart and bollocks but absolute amateur level fighter, the UFC is too high a starting point for him. very cringey fight.

Rufus training camp should be ashamed. That guy has had 3 years of professional full time training. Look at his cardio, look at his guard. It was as low level amateur as most beginners. A legit coach wouldn’t put his reputation on the line for the cash he got IMO

Well, I wanted Romero to win, but I do believe you’ve gotta do more than let it go to decision especially in a title fight

    Beyond gutted Colby won 😂

Chuffed to see Holly did so well against a considerably younger, bigger potential cyborg competitor, she needed that won

    CM Punk....yeah he’s done

Things really aren’t looking good for Rashad Evans or Overeem...damn

Also regarding romero’s missed weight the state commission actually forced him to stop cutting weight apparently...

FML I had harder sparring Sat morning. Absolutely disgraceful. I actually bet on Punk yo win because I thought uncle Dana would fix it but that fight was so fishy why he wasn’t finished god only knows.

Anyways seems they are both fired.

I dont know how CM Punk is a BJJ blue belt . The way he just lay on his back with his guard open and just allowed himself to be hit when he could have easily stood up.

Gutted for RDA but it Colby backed his talk up so fair play.

I enjoyed the Romero fight, but id be interested to know why Romero thought the way he did, I can only assume that he thinks of himself as a K.O artist now

In all fairness put someone in with heavy hands against even a black belt and you will find unless they have had years and years of being conditioned to punches in the face they will unravel pretty quick and forget their jits.

Speaking of GNP did you see the Overeem fight fcking hell fire that was brutal.
