Who doesn't watch tv?

I don't.

I find myself getting irritated by having lies, biased views and car crash tv thrown at me so I have become very selective with what tv shows and news I'm exposed to.

I'm also far more productive, open minded and sensitive of the world and others around me. I only did it as an experiment initially but I'm far happier as a result.

I don't own a television (this is very hard for the BBC to believe)
I may watch something occasionally, David Attenborough`s programmes or similar.

Recently was round at some friends and they were watching some film on itv , I couldn't believe the amount of adverts now. Not only did I lose the thread of the film I actually forgot what we were watching.
I find radio much better as you can listen and do something else at the same time.
For news I read and watch stuff on the internet to get several views and sides to each story.

Ignorance: Reassuringly Expensive.

I always did but when I lived with the wife and kids it was either kids TV or soaps on an evening.  Now I'm back at my parents they seem to live on BBC1 which is even more boring.

When they're not in I don't even bother turning the TV on.  I've recently got an Apple TV for myself (hooked up to the parents TV for now), with the intention of listening to music when I'm on my own and watching more selective stuff like Netflixs.  Also for the kids so they can watch movies.

When I get my own place in a few months I intend to start like this and not get into the habit of just having the TV on sat on a channel watching rubbish just because it's on.

Barely turn it on now unless there's some sport i want to watch. Wish I could cancel the cable tv which is a massive rip off but the wife will apparently die if she misses an episode of house hunters international.

You did gain far too much fat though,I mean, you're not muscular at all, you're just a fat mess.

How you quantifying watching TV?

Do I watch TV sat in front of it for hours no not really unless its sport on Sky, however I do spend a lot of time watching TV programmes on Discovery, Nat Geo, ABC etc which I download so I don't have to sit though the adverts all played on my TV.

I don't watch TV. Anything I do want to watch I'll see on iPlayer or Netflix or iTunes.

Sitting on a sofa in front of a TV flicking between **** program after **** program is not something I'm going to tolerate in my life.

I don't think you can say you don't watch TV if you watch things downloaded, on Netflix/Amazon Prime etc - it's still TV.

I think what a lot of you are saying is you don't watch live broadcast TV.

When we lived at our old flat we found that we would put the TV on but never watch it, we have since moved to a new house which needed a aerial to be fitted, we decided just not to get one fitted for now, which is good in away because we have on elec by not having it on for the sake of it being there, we do use the tv for the wii u and netflix though.

It also saves around £12 a month on TV Licence, which is great seeing as I'd much rather have netflix which is only around £7/8 a month.

I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

I understand your disdain if thats the right word.  You cannot even scroll through the guide, see what you like press the button only to be greeted by adverts.  And gold is dreadful.  Take OFAHs, its on for about 5 minutes it then goes quite and you here "switch something funny on" the next second you are greeted by a starving donkey or kid just after you might have laughed at the 1000th showing of this episode.

The only live TV I watch is sport. I am very particular with what I watch and I think tv addiction shows in people.

Not so long ago we got a 55in Smart TV to replace our clapped out old one.
The whole family were delighted and everyone gathered 'round excitedly. From the youngest to the oldest.
For three solid hours we all sat there watching.
Eventually my grandmother stood up and said: "Turn it on!"
