Who here is / was a competative bodybuilder?

Which current MTers have competed / used to compete in bodybuilding? Which show(s) / federation(s) and to what level?

How did you get on?

Any pics?

We've had loads of MT competitors in the past from beginners to pros.

Competed going on 20 years ago, though only entered 3 comps at first timer and then intermediate level all with NABBA. Second place 3 times. Only have 2 photos, one my avatar (which is a zoomed in crop of the lineup) which was my first comp and one other photo.

Interested in this. Especially pics of first timers. Thinking of entering South East Area NABBA first-timers in 2019 or 2020, or UKBFF East of England beginners. Could be a pipe dream though built on a world created in my head from this website that I think mistakenly is 'reality'. So we'll see.

Competed for ukbff in 2014 as I found that as I'd taken cissus-drol 5 years before (contains an aromatase inhibitor) I couldn't compete in BNBF until about 2016.  Came 8th out of 9 in the first timers, which as I've never taken gear I was pretty happy with.

Fancy competing again at some point - possibly 2019 as that'll be me turned 40.

I never use my indicators, I don't like people knowing what I'm up to

Used to compete in the 80s with Nabba when the figure standard was nothing like it is today!!

Decided to compete again in 2005 when I was 39. Hung my bikini up again in 2014 after turning "pro" in 2009 winning the BNBF British finals. Only competed in tested feds the second time round. My online avatar is from my final show in Miami in 2014.

I’ve agreed with a mate to compete in 2019 as I’ll be 40

Started competing relatively late at 39. Competed in local shows then the ukbff. Did ok. Then competed with the PCA from 2015. Best position was 3rd at the British finals 2016 class 4 . Wil be competing next year at the PCA Manchester show then hopefully the British finals.

Interesting. What local shows? Are they not all NABBA or UKBFF? I'm 41 but think I might - might - be ready in two to three years for a first-timer show...

I competed in 2009 in the BNBF lightweight cat and placed 1st and 2012 and placed 3rd, I haven't used MT for some time now- probably 5 years.

What has happened the bodybuilding competition section ? there use to be loads of threads of MT members prepping for shows ? have they all been moved ? or has social media took over instead?
