Who washes their food/vegetables?

I have always been under the impression that it is good to wash your food, namely vegetables, before consuming. This could be to remove soil, bugs and harsh chemicals/pesticides... I often do not bother washing anything and was wondering who actually does/does not and their reasons?

If I have a shower I will, or before a night out its best to, coz you never know what'll go down.

I don't bother washing veg. Mud on my mushrooms is the least of my worries

I would say about 90% of the time, yes, I do give them a thorough rinse. Reasons already given- to remove traces of pesticides etc and bacteria, and various sh*t that the stuff gets covered in (quite literally, sometimes)
