Who would most likley win in a street fight between Mike Tyson or WSM competitor.

In a "normal fight" would a heavy weight boxer or even MMA in their prime be able to beat a WSM competitor in a normal/street fight? As much as I admire the skills of top level fighters would the sheer power and body mass difference from pretty much any of the WSM finalists be enough to win the fight using brute strength(even choke hold to the death in a street fight there are no rules)?

I asked my mate the same question he's not a trained fighter but has been in many fights(and although nothing to be proud of some in prison) so by experience he sort of knows what he's talking about when it comes to "normal/street fighting".He told me the best thing is to forget about boxing and martial arts because it all goes out of the window in a normal fight. But you can never have too much muscle power/strength and body mass in a normal fight. His advice was just lift weights....but then again maybe GSP,forrest griffin,or street fighter like Roy Shaw or Bartley Gorman could show him a thing or 2 if either of the latter pair were still alive.

I'd back a boxer every time. Their hand speed is incredible, I think anyone who hasn't trained with one wouldn't see the punches coming.

If they could beat a top boxer or top MMA fighter they wouldn't be lifting heavy things for relative buttons.

I think they do it for the love of the sport, not for lack of other options.

Tyson would destroy them or any "street" fighter in his prime.

Tyson IS a street fighter. He was an animal inside and outside of the ring. He grew up in Brownsvile in Brooklyn, he not a posh kid pretending to be from 'da hood'. Also the boxing/martial arts if taught right are there to be used in a fight. dont get me wrong you do ten karate classes and get smashed in the grid your going to your default setting of run or wind mill. You do ten years of boxing/marial art you get smashed in the grid you instict will be to defend your self the way youve trained. you look at any trained fighter thats been in a street fight thats ended up on youtube there stance and technqiue are all there. Im not saying that they win every time but it dosnt go out the window. IMO MMA fighterd are the ones to watch in a fight they have stand up and ground game, and they also have what most 'street fighters' dont have stamina.

However the question was about WSM and they just dont have the training. Being big dosnt mean you can throw a punch and it defenatly dont mean you can take a punch.

In the very first UFC, when there really were no rules, an average sized kickboxer sparked out all the big strong lumps to get to the final, he only came unstuck against Royce Gracie and his grappling.  I know those early ones were all fixed but it was plain to see how a brave boxer would always have the advantage against a big lummox.

Check out Pudzianowski's MMA career for an answer to this. A drunk, crying Tyson just now, would KO a WSM within 20 secs.
