Why does my chicken always taste minging!!!!!!

I need help - everyday I take food to work and force it down - but my chicken literally makes me heave.

I buy frozen chicken breasts from tesco/safeway/etc
Put them in the fridge the nioght before to defrost.
Next day put some spices on them, wrap all 3 in tin foil and cook in the oven for 200 degrees for 25-30 mins.

It never tastes quite right and i have to eat salaed with it to take the taste away.

THis is a big problem for me at the moment - can anyone suggest any thinkg to improve???

Different ways of cooking, sauces, etc ( bulking at the mo so not worried about the fat content of sauces.

Cheers,

I put a cajun coating on mine, with a thin coat of oil.

I have mine in a small pitta bread or with half a pack of noodles.
You could make some sort of dip, spicy chicken seasoning mixed with natural yougut etc.

I also do a baked potato with cottage cheeze (which I don't really like but goes well with the spud) and chicken.

i buy the same things. i don't bother thawing them. just take one out the freezer, bung it in the oven on gas mark 6 for 35 minutes. chop in peices, dollop salad cream all over it and hey presto.

i once had jam and chicken on toast but that's for another day

I buy them from Iceland, I'm guessing they are the same.

Just take em out, cover in olive oil, put some chilli powder or Cajun powder, or whatever you like, cook them up in the oven, eat.

Heres the best way...(although it could take away some of the protien) boil hot water in a saucepan then put the chicken in until its cooked and you can also stick some oxo cubes and spices in the water to give the chicken more flavour

I buy my chicken breasts from asiian Butchers, its fresher, I freeze it for a week and it still smells and tastes the same. The chicken is boiled with a bit of tandoori sauce on it.

    Just my 2 pence worth.

i get turkey breast ( fresh from tesco ) cos its cheaper than chicken and quite supprisingly it is juicier when cooked.

i usually roast 3 packs ( approx 2kg ) on saturday. sprinkled with either chilli powder, paprika and sweetner or chick seasoning.
    25 - 30 mins on no.5
then freeze the lot for the week.

usually dip it in sweet chilli sauce, low carb chilli sauce, branston sauce or mustard.

I kinda like the way they come out as I feel you get kinda sick of cooking them the same way,so something different I suppose..But would say more chewy than rubbery

try some triyaki and paprika my friend.
crush up while garlic, then chop up some onion, salt, pepper and chopped up parsely, teriyaki all over chicken, cover it with a nice amount, not a bowl of sauce but enough to cover the chicken, add a touch of paprika, mix, marinate for at least an hour in the fridge and hey presto. gril or bake, eat with your veg, rice or sweet potatoe and mmmmmmmmm.

Hazard a touch of narcissism without shame.
There is no room for junk food in any diet whatsoever, leave the junk in the bin.

Try taking your thawed out chicken breast. coat it in cajun seasoning and jamaican jerk, add extra virgin olive oil. mix it around on the tray so the whole chicken is covered (if you have time do the night before and put slits in the chicken breast with a knife, this will allow the flavour to get right trhough to the middle of the chicken)

cook in the oven on 180degrees(no more)

I tend to have it with a small salad and sweet potatoes

    hope this helps

Butterfly your chicken breast, give it a light coat of oil- olive, sesame etc then add you seasoning, eg pepper. cajun,, stick it on the forman. Just the job (it will get rubbery and chewy if you leave it on there too long though- bout three minutes sees it cooked.

eat with sides as suits diet requirements

    Hope that helps a little.

Definately steamed - my foreman is now redundant, so much so im thinking off binning it (its virtually knackered anyway ).

If i dont steam my chicken its done in strips or diced in the wok, some peppers, onions, mushrooms etc, and add whatever sauce you fancy (shwartz thai red curry, and jamaican jerk chicken are my big faves at the mo !!) then added to some steamed rice - again steaming imo is the BEST way to cook rice, much nicer than plain boiled etc.

I have a chicken breast in a sandwich with wholemeal bread and add a little brown sauce to give it a bit of flavour.
