Windows blocking ActiveX installation

I'm trying to download an ActiveX control for something. The yellow bar comes up in IE and says I've to click for options. I do and a little box comes up with:

Install ActiveX
What's the risk
More information

I click on install ActiveX and a Windows box appears saying:

Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher

Name: webrec.cab
Publisher: Unknown Publisher

OK button

There is no option to override it.

I know the ActiveX is o.k. so can I install it somehow? I don't want to lower my overall security level settings if poss, just allow this to install.

You could always lower them, install Active x then raise them straight after?

Or you can set up a custom level in Internet Options where you can be very specific about what to allow in terms of Active x.

    Cheers fellas, sorted.

Yeah the activex is safe. It's so I can look at the cctv cameras I've just had installed over a web-browser rather than linked ethernet cable which means I can view remotely from other pc's

It's quite a timely reminder though having got another lappy since the original question, and couldn't for the life remember how I did it the first time :-)
