You are what you eat

Any one seen the program on channel 4 and when they put out everything the person eats in a week on a table. Imagine what some of ours would look like and the amount of chicken and tuna etc

Mixing different pulses and as many veg as you can get will give a full amino profile. Also there are some vegggies who eat eggs and other dairy products. Quorn, tofu also provide suitable protein.

different gains such as the normal ones like rice to things like quinoa and everything in between, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds and everything made from them (listing would result in a book!), different soya products from milk, tofu, tempeh to different meat like products, burgers and what not.

easy peasy (well not quite, but after getting used to it).

Muscleman - that was exactly myt first thought! What a waste - or a feast

Did you see michelle mcmanus' table when she was on it!!! christ! that was a lot of food. Its a good idea really as it shocks people into doing something about her weight!

Mine would be a very boring table...

I'm really suprised to hear you say that, Les thinks it's fantastic and is in fact watching it right now, having stopped his decorating to do so. He usually insists I watch it too cause he wants me to hear words of wisdom from Gillian McKeith. Honestly Les must be Gillian McKeith's biggest fan cause he goes on about her all the time about how she is so inventive with her diets of quinona beans (or whatever they are!!) and how great it is that she analyzes their poo to show how scientifically sound she is. Her book is on sale in Tesco and every time he walks past it he stops to stare and make comment about how it's bound to be packed with fantastic nutrtional advice, I think I am going to buy it him as a wedding anniversary pressie cause he has dropped so many hints. He even says what a shame it is she doesn't read MT cause we could do with someone of her calibre and qualifications on here.

you serious - we've had loads of debates on hear - Les must have read them - about the inane 'advice' she gives. I seriously think her book should be banned. She is also a fraud. Her analysis of poo and other body-parts may sound interesting, but it's all made up. She abuses the power of credibility - and Les will tell you how much that pisses me off.

Just coz she's written books and is on the telly - doesn't mean what she says is correct. It only means what she says is interesting and sells!
