a hard time(not a joke)

I think a lot of us have been through maybe like me going through at the moment watching a parent slowly passing away in this case it is my dad who has been very ill for a long long time, It is not a nice thing to watch and all you can do is try to be positive for them although you will know the outcome in this case it won't be long.

I have been looking for a poem to best to descibe him and found tis and thought i would share it with you all...

Dying Poem
Death is not the end, it is only a bridge to another place.

I know this man
Who is dear to my heart
Suddenly one day
It was torn all apart

This man taught me every thing
That I needed to know
But I never really listened
Until he had to go

He gave me love
And touched my life
Its all over now
He no longer has to fight

He tried to teach me
Right for wrong
The day he left
I wasn't that strong

He is gone now
It is hard to believe
This man is my dad
Who I will never see

But I will see him again
This I know
The day will come
When its time for me to go

So, I'll hold him dear
And close to my heart
Cause the day we meet
I know we'll never be torn apart.

Sorry to hear that, mate. I was the opposite. My dad was full of life and very vigorous for his age and then just dropped dead one day from a massive heart attack. I felt I'd been robbed because it was so sudden, but on reflection he would have hated going downhill slowly, losing his independence and becoming reliant on others. There's just no right answer, I guess. I hope everything works out for you.
