advice on mountain climbing??

Im going to be climbing mount snowdon in october for marie curie cancer care, ive never had any experience in mountain climbing, I would appreciate any advice on specific fitness training or nutrition for the big day, also any advice on boots and clothing.
the walk will take approx 6-8 hours.

Much appreciated.

As long as you've got two legs, you'll make it to the top. Depending which route you go will depend on the severity. There's actually no climbing involved, just walking. In October you'll need some warm kit, waterproofs, sturdy footwear and preferably some scoff and a flask of hot whatever. There's a cafe on the summit so you can get a bite to eat and drink once on top.
