BCAAs at myprotein.co.uk - but the powder does taste rank. 1kg is about £35, or you could try scivation xtend  or bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk xcel 1kg - these taste good. I wouldn't go for tablets or capsules because they're more expensive.

You can get 1kg of BCAAs in powder form for round about £35.00 or a product like the one above where it works out at about 300 grams of BCAAs for £28 (500 capsules = 312.5 grams of BCAAs)

The powder works out far cheaper.

I think I've done my maths right - each Reflex cap has 0.625 grams of BCAAs according to the website I was looking at. So 0.625 x 500 caps = 312.5 grams.

    Powder every time for me.

Yeah, I would agree to be honest.
Also, caps are always so compressed and dense that it's very hard to break them down and digest. I just always go for reflex where possible though!

I like to take the amino acid tyrosine before a workout. It makes me feel good. I also take citrulline and AAKG (Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate) together before a workout to get an incredible pump. Here is a good article that describes different amino acids for bodybuilding use http://j.mp/3w7Q49

Beta-alanine is great for pre work out as it buffers lactic acid.
L-arginine is also for pre-workout as it increases NO attention in the muscles

Powder is definitely cheaper than capsules but a lot of people find the taste of the powder to be disgusting and the BCAA will only help if you actually take it, which you may not if the taste puts you off !

Capsules are also more convenient as you can easily throw a few in your pocket/bag to take throughout the day.

people on this site are really bumming reflex far too much these days. im a fan as well and use some of their products but to advise reflex bcaa capsules over bcaa powders from the bulk suppliers or scivation xtend/bbw excel is taking it a bit too far

bcaa powders > capsules every time

was supposed to get some scivation xtend but didnt get round to it (the watermelon is the flavour i was recommended)

Current goals: get back in the game

I can see why a person would suggest a company they trust even if the product is in capsules.

Yes - capsules will always be more expensive but if taste is an issue on the product they are worthwhile.

As with many things how are we to know the quality of a bcaa powder - are they all the same?

I don't know to be honest.

Just for the record - never bought a reflex product but did drink one of their whey refresh once.

I will not offer my view on their whey refresh in case it looks like I am bumming them!

An Alterego is a paradoxical escape.
