anybody use gnc?

as above, ive always thought it was a rip off american import, but i had to order some ancilliaries for epi,and after looking at a few places, ive ended up with 90x200 milk thistle,90 taurine tabs and just under 500g of 90% protein(verdicts out on this till it gets here)for 13 quid delivered.i havnt got the stuff yet,but i was surprised when everywhere id looked and would normally buy this stuff from was a fair bit more money.

If the protein is the generic GNC body fortress or precision engineered one they usually have it fairly cheap, taste not so great and doesn't agree with everyones stomachs..But GNC aren't that bad you just have to know what there is a decent price and what (normally the big branded stuff - muscletech) is way overpriced..Usually only pop into GNC when need a protein bar on the go

GNC in the UK is owned by H&B - so they're own brand stuff will be identical to H&B own branded stuff :)

^^ yup thai's right about them being owned by H&B same stuff from each, gnc just give discount to members and online..The protein wont be terrible just dont expect it to be whey gourmet or syntha 6, you get what you pay for usually but proteins protein at the end of the day, obviously if it shoots right through you it doesnt agree with you then

Originally GNC UK were owned by GNC USA, but then they sold off to H&B and left the UK market.

Now H&B own GNC UK, and "Vitamin World" in the USA. H&B is a pretty chunky international business. GNC USA is also pretty chunky. They make $1.8bn in sales a year I think. Shows how big the US supplement market is

I think they just price differently because they'll be run as seperate profit centres - just like how a cooked chicken in Asda is cheaper than an uncooked one, because fresh meats is run by one manager, and cooked another, and they do whatever they think will raise overall net profits.
