anyone ever get really bad stomach aches?

i've been training and sticking to a strict lean bulk diet for 18 months now, and along the way i have had occasional stomach aches. however, yesterday evening after a shake and some fruit my stomach instantly bloated like mad. i thought nothing of it and went to bed, but was kept awake most of the night with quite a bad stomach ache around my abdomen. this morning i got up with THE most bloated stomach ever, and whenever i move alot (such as bending down) i get an immense pain in the side and front of my abdomen. its also worse after eating.

ive dont some research and the bloating appears to be caused by excess gas, (known as flatus) which can be caused by excess protein in the diet. as when aminos are digested a certain gas is released. in excess this can also cause an inflamed bowel.

i was just wondering if any of you guys have experienced this before? what you do about it? and how would prevent it in the future?

cheers. chris.

most likely down to eating fruit with your protein mate

have the shake on its own and have your fruit half an hour later
