cheers mobster, just chescked out thier site. £80 for a harness that can take half a ton [whats the bloody need in that? i'd rather it took 100k and charged me 80% less!!] and the handles are also expensive.

basically i am sick of going to the gym when my new house has got a spare room that i want to convert. so i am shopping around looking for a 7ft oly bar and some plates up to 200kg [preferably the oly style ones that are both flat and all the same size], a really thick bar that can take oly plates and a neck/head harness. my routine don't require a power rack or a bench so i don't need them.

    thanks anyway. rob

    cheers johnny.

si, 3" is harder to grip than 2" or standard oly. i would use the 3" for deadlifts. that way my supporting grip gets caned without affecting my workouts overall productivity.. i don't DL in my routine... squat only.

Any welder will make you a bar of any diameter. just give one a call and see how much it will cost you.

contact Watson gym equipment. they do heavy duty quality thick bars at good prices.

    a 2" one is £75 , quite reasonable i think.
    3" is under £100.

also ask them if they have any ex-demo models for sale.
