No.  That's one ban (and I don't generally favour banning things) that I can live with.

Bit of a misleading thread title as well.

While I know they are very good dogs they can also do a major amount damage when they fall into the hands of some of the f*cknuts that tend to buy them. This country cannot protect the dogs from the abuse these people inflict on them so I wont sign it.

After seeing a batch of beautiful puppies put down because they had thw wrong mum was saddening.  Even the mum, a so called 'dangerous dog' was the most passive and scared thing I've ever seen, even when the RSPCA took her puppies off her.

Don't agree with banning dogs because it create scenarios like the above, while the people who want and breed dangerous dogs will do it anyway or select a different breed.

    Unaffiliated.

I understand that it's not the dogs, its the owners.. - but then again, the same thing can be said about guns.

this can be said for any breed of dog, i think if you ban 1 you should ban them all or none at all imo. ppl will abuse anydog

i think a better idea is to have a licence for thyose types of dogs, and to have there nature etc tested. this will stop dick heads owning them since they will cost more to own.
i think its a joke that all pits are banned and killed jus cause of what they are. every dog is diffrent.

you can have a visious legal dog and a nice natured placid pit and the pit will still be killed, wat sense dose that make???

Ive had 2 pitbulls and love the breed to bits.I won`t sign this though,A lift in the ban won`t help the breed,Far too many idiots out there who dont understand or know how to control them.

Totally agree and I would be in favour of some kind of licencing system for all dogs. Fact is the punishments for animal abuse are pitiful, there are obviously alot of pits in this country which people will say are staffs, lab + staff cross etc but this law keeps the numbers down. I would take my chances and my dogs chances against any other common breed out there before a badly trained pitbull.

Wont be signing that, nothing against the breed just the typical owner, no offence to any that have owned them, but the majority I have come across have been gansta wannabes trying to look like hard men using the dog to intimidate people to try and boost their pathetic little egos, and enhance their wannabe tough guy image

Fair enough. I'd sign a petition for the abolition of the dangerous dogs act, but not something for just one breed

Knowing the kind of owners these dogs attract, I think its probably best for the dogs themselves that they remain banned.

You did gain far too much fat though,I mean, you're not muscular at all, you're just a fat mess.
