beans!?

are baked beans any good as part of a diet because i noticed today a tin of baked beans has 20g of protein and 300 cals!!!!

    Its very high in sugars.

    wash the sauce off if you want. personally i cant be bothered, it tastes nicer with the sauce.
    eating em once a week or something with sauce and all isnt gonna kill you.

    you can and theyre 50% less, but the amount of sugar in a normal can is only about 20g as it is. plus theyre jammed with fibre anyway.

    Branston just brought out some JUMBO baked beans, twice the size of normal beans

    Get the reduced sugar and fat variety and mix it with a tin of tuna (in spring water, but with the water removed obviously) and Microwave it for 3.5 mins. Excellent fast nutritious and tasty. Its my favourite protein hit.

    Fine as part of a balanced diet,
    I have them on toast with scrambled egg occasionally. Nice little treat, sugars wont kill you... theyll fuel your training/activity.
