bear grylls

Just caught a glimpse of this bloke on discovery , amazing isnt the word , spent the next 6 hours downloading his series and watched it back to back , this bloke is an absoloute animal and does anything needed to survive

dont think he would have any problem with unflavoured protien drinks

    Yeah, lovin born survivor!

Although, I might have more respect for the cameraman!

I've 'seen' him swimming in icy waters, running across a burning volcanic surface, climb vines and run down a steep African hill at top speed all whilst managing to film Bear with apparently one hand

I wonder that - I saw him tearing meat WITH HIS TEETH off of the carcass of a zebra that had been pretty much picked clean by the local wildlife. Surely that's not healthy!?!?

If you like Bear Grylls stuff hunt out Escape to the Legion, he goes through the Foreign Legion course pretty hardcore some of the stuff, gets buried up to his neck in sand.

I've actually only just seen the Bear Grylls stuff. Had heard all about him from a guy at work who loves him .His previous hero was Ray Mears. I now agree, Bear Grylls would kick his ass!!

Mears is cool but he is a tad dulll,Bears is like one of the lads doing it,we all have a soft lad mate like him ,so he is easy to relate to and makes it look exciting.altho' a lot lies in the editing im sure

Just sensationalism imo...no real need to demo eating zebra, we get the point.

I dont think so , if you found yourself in the same position having not seent that you wouldnt touch it , however bear shows you what you may have to do to survive

he dosnt just say this is what you would do in this situation , he actually demonstrates a worst case scenario survival, he dosnt have his lunch packed away with him he might not have eaten for 2 days before finding that carcus
