You can sort of taste the beef in them.  Its a bit strange but only a very slight taste in the ones ive had .

I wouldnt fancy unflavoured but the flavoured ones are decent

I have unflavoured and if you have any fussiness with your taste buds then you won't like it.

I have no issues drinking or eating things that most won't like the taste of in order to get the nutrients

I've tried the paleo protein from go, and it is different to whey... That being said, it taste fine. It takes a bit more shaking then whey to mix, but all in all it's good to go.

If you're gonna use a beef protein, my advice would be to neck it shortly after mixing.
I say that because where possible I always stick my protein shakes in the fridge to let them chill for a while.
In the case of this stuff, I forgot about it, left it for a few hours and it had quite literally congealed into a gelatin / jelly like mess that you could cut with a knife. Put me right off, LOL! :(

Does this stuff have a better protein profile than whey powder ?

Ignorance: Reassuringly Expensive.

not sure of the amino profile Vs whey (will look later), the only negative point so far i have seen is the 1.65g of salt per 100g of powder which seems alot as the whey only has 0.38g per 100g

from the bulk powders website;

"HydroBEEF™ Beef Protein Isolate 97 is not only packed with protein, but it is naturally high in Vitamins A, B and D. It also has a complete amino acid profile, with high levels of Glutamine and Arginine in particular."

seems pretty interesting either way

@graduate - nice article, it certainly shows the product in a different light. on the bulk powders website they say "Manufactured from fresh lean beef" i wonder if this is as it seems or if they use all the bits and bobs with no or little commercial value?
