Hi,
What would be the best spread, (i.e. marg, butter etc) to use on sandwiches, toast etc?

in the context of health.

I couldnt cut it out and anyway why would you want to. The light version is only like 300-400cals per 100g, so whats that 10-20cals per sandwich and some good fats. Not worth the worry IMO.

in sandwiches possibly but on toast?? eating toast with no spread is like eating a piece of plasterboard, olive spread seems to be the general consensus, and with its good fat content there seems no reason to cut it out, unless on an especially anal cutting diet.

I have been using Lurpack Light just recently. For the amount i do consume, I dont see it affecting my health either way.

    Just my opinion

Almond butter. I use normal butter sparingly, since I only eat toast once a day (mornings) and it's only two slices, to be honest I'm not worried either.

Almond and peanut butter are nice though on toast.

i think the stuff is absoloutely vile, but marmite is supposed to be a good on toast if you can stomach it
as for normal spread i just use regular butter, one of the things i don't worry about.
