biceps smaller after training them!!

ive noticed that after my back and bicep session, later on that day my biceps measure nearly 1/2" smaller than they did, then usualy takes a few days for them to return to normal size, does this have something to do with ripping down the fibres then recovering?

Either muscle glycegen stores fully depleated
    Or more likely too dehydrated

Simple sugars right before or during your workout will help and drink enough water before hand and sip during training.
