Welcome to MT. getting huge takes years bro. and it certainly isn't easy. The best supplement is food. plain and simple. eat well and eat often (every 3 hrs). Eat lean whole natural foods as much as possible and foods high in protein and complex carbohydrate. Better than any magic supplement. If you want to invest money then buy whey protein to have in water when you wake up and straight after training as it's when your body needs protein fast. Avoid processed foods. Forget the "wonder supplements". They're a waste of money to a beginner.

Cashman gives some sound advice. Me and a friend of mine went to a local nutrition store and there was a young bodybuilder there who was asking about a certain product that he had to have that just came out. I had to intervene because he was so sure that this was going to get him huge because it said so in the add. He was obviously getting big but he was also very young. He attributed his gains from a certain other supplement. His diet plan was good and he was working out hard so I think this is what was making him big. I explained to him that you can’t believe an advertisement because that is it’s job, to hook you into buying it. So what Cashman says is worth it’s weight in gold. Don’t get caught up in the hype. A sound diet plan along with a good workout routine will do what all the hype says there products will do. As you progress you can decide what other supplements are right for you. I wrote a small article on this site check it out and tell me what you think…/www.thehouseofpain.net/nutrition/articles/bodybuildingnutrition.html

A protein drink can count as a meal just don't forget to eat real food as well. Snacking all day isnt the way to go. If you eat 6 meals a day and 3 are real food and 3 are protein drinks that is Ok. Protein bars are good as well. Just remember to eat a balanced meal about every 3 hours not just breads or fruits. You need to get your protein and carbs in at every meal. It really is better to eat real food but if your lifestyle doesnt allow for it than do what you got to do. Check this out...

Eating more than the normal 3 times a day can be hard for most people. Best way is to prepare in advance, and make small meals. As Cashman said, protein is best first thing in the morning and stariaght aftr training, but you have to fuel your body for the training. The main reason for eating so often is to keep your metabolism active, and the main reason for watching what you eat an when you eat it is all dependant on you body's ability to break the food down.

Protein bars are a good meal replacement, but should only be eaten every couple of days as they can cause digestion problems.

Alot of people on the go ten to have half a protein bar as a mid morning snack with som protein shake then again later in the afternoon, about 1 hour prior to training.

Main thing to do is eat clean and make sure you get just the right amount of fats each day otherwise you metabolism will get lazy...
