bit of advice with supplements??

Hi guys,

I have recently posted about wanting to pack on as much size in the coming month due to shoulder surgery I need in about 4 weeks.
I have been training for a while and am quite happy with my gains, however I have invested in a few supplements to attempt to put on as much size as possible before my surgery.
I have bought muscletech's cell-tech as a change from the previous progain I was using and have bought some L-Arginine 500 as a change from pump-tech NO caps I was using.
I only take pump tech before my workout and was wondering if it is safe to overlap, as I still have a few servings left of pump tech, with arginine 3 times a day??
Also should I purchase a whey/weight gainer to help pack on size as well?
All opinions would be much appreciated
Cheers
Mike

    Hi Mike

Whether you need these supps really depends on the rest of your diet - ie what it is like. Post it up here and then we'll be able to advise better

OK here is the diet that I do my best to stick by:

    9.00 am:
    Bowl of shredded wheat
    Apple/banana

    Noon:
    Wholemeal baguette (Chicken or tuna)
tracker, flapjack or low fat crisps

    2.30/3pm
Small tub of Rice/pasta with beef or chicken
    few handfuls of mixed nuts

    5.30pm
    High protein meal:
Often steak/chicken and eggs (1 whole and 4 whites)
or tuna and spinach omelette (eggs as above)

    7pm: Workout

    9pm
Chicken/steak/fish with brown rice/ wholewheat pasta or potatoes

This is what I'm trying to stick to so far but it is quite tricky as I find it hard to prepare packed lunches for while I'm at uni
I am also gonna start trying to eat a tub of cottage cheese before bed cos I'm told that's good
The directions for the supplements I have are:
Arginine- 2 caps 3 times a day between meals
and Cell-tech in the morning and straight after workout.

    Hope this helps,
    Cheers
    Mike

PS: Non workout days I try to keep similar but normally end up combining noon and afternoon meals

You should try to increase your intake of fruit and veg its fairly low. There are no mention of omega three containing foods in your diet add some of these. Oily fish is the best source IMO.

    OK, thanks for advice.

Will try to have eggs with my breakfast and eat at 11 am also. What sort of oily fish are best or do they all do the job?

Does anyone have any experience with or opinions on the supplements I am gonna be using?

    Cheers
