blood pressure

just been and brought a bp monitor and tested myself the reading was

138 / 75

now in the book it says that the systolic reading 138 is high normal
and the diastolic reading of 75 is ideal.

so the question is - is my bp ideal or 'high normal'

    Is fine mate.

BP goes up and down throughout the day, best time to do it is first thing in the morning.

Id take your BP multiple times, at different times of day to get a range of readings - will give you a better picture IME

Mine is always way low on the self testers and way high when the Doc does it. I get really nervous in a docs office for some reason.

They call that 'white coat syndrome' - some people's BP just shoots right up when faced by a Dr. weanting to test their BP
