body fat and first cycle

Any advice on a decent body fat % before going about a first cycle , or does it not really matter to a degree, specially if you eat pretty low fat healthy diet etc ?

cheers

The fact that you think a low fat diet helps with body fat tells me that you shouldn't be thinking about gear at all tbh mate.

Ive got mate who knows nothing about diet and thinks just training a lot is good training. He's just done a 12 week cycle and made almost no progress....

    Hi,
How do you work that one out ? Low fat and hard work for sure help with body fat..
When I say low fat, I watch what fats I take in generally eating high protein diet consisting of lots of chicken, turkey, lean meats etc, carbs from pastas and tatties, brown rice and eat a ton of fruit. I would say my diet is quite good and I'm trying to pack in quite a bit of it 5 times / Day. I fully understand about eating the right food and also right type as well as quantity with high calorie intake. Don't take offence but I think you'v jumped to conclusions and I was only asking for advice not criticism though any advice welcome :)

    Cheers

Either way.. You want starting body fat to be as low as possible if you want to minimise fat gain. Personally if want to be below 12% but its personal preference.

Alright scoob. Iv been doing abit of research on this myself. Never ran a cycle before and after an injury my bf is at 21%. I'm going to get to 18 before I run it but purely because I don't want to look like a bowling ball with no definition. From what iv read and been told it can increase chance of gyno etc with higher bf but I know a lot of guys that pin away like it and they are fine. Look at all this chubby rugby and American footy players pinning away 🙈

If you start at 18% bf where do you expect your body fat to be by the time you finish your cycle and finish PCT? I suspect it will be high enough that you'll have to cut in order to not just look like a fat guy, and then by the time you finish cutting, you'll look the same as when you started. And most people under estimate how much fat they are carrying so even if you are actually 18% its still too high IMO.

IMO a lot of people that use gear at a high bf% do so because they are no good at dropping body fat and think that gear/gaining muscle is the answer to make them look better and IMO it never works out like that.

I dont mean it to sound harsh, just my advice.

    Presuming that's to me dazzz.
I totally agree to a certain extent mate. I may go lower than 18% too. I don't find it hard to drop bf at all actually. I think my diet is pretty good and I hit the cardio well, my job is physical too.
And I have to disagree, chubby with muscle looks better than chubby 😂

I'm sitting around 17% at the mo though I don't look fat at all now, not even chubby... Decided I'm going to try and drop another few % before starting my first cycle tho.. 👍

And then he'll say the gear must have been bunk!

I agree that bulking whether assisted or not isn't a great idea if your body fat % is above 14-15%. The fatter you are, the easier it is to get even fatter.

I only plan to bulk until my my BF% gets to about 15-16% tops.
