breakfast ugh

Need some help with breakfast.

From the time I wake up (about 7) until abotu 11 or so I really dont feel like eating. Currently I'm eating oats till about 10 and then things get better.

But I'm not getting enough calories in that time gap.

Any hints tips how i can improve this, or any work arounds? My appetite def picks up...esp around later at night...say 10.

But even if I dont eat late at night, I still dont feel like eating in the morning.

Frustrating.

10 egg whites in a toasted pitta and down it!

or just blend up some tuna, orange juice and eat a slice of wholemeal bread.

dont have to eat but just get some kinda of food in you whether made into a squash or just eating it in 2 massive bites and having water at the same time wash it down, as long as you get those nutrients in you, should be fine.

once you get into the habit of this, your body may get adjusted to the fact that your eating after you get up and maybe if you do skip breakfast, youll feel more hungry than usual.

Would just seprate them to be honest, pre prepared is quite expensive but if you have the money, by all means, get it if you want.

I'm the same as you, can't stomach food in the morning.

I just make a big MRP from good ingredients:

    50g Whey Protein
    50g Oats
    1 banana
1 weetabix (optional) or wheat bran
    Spoonful of ground flax seeds
    squirt of honey
Put this all in a protein shaker, add water to 3/4 level and then hand blender it.
Tastes lovely, really easy to stomach, and you can drink it on the way to work, so an extra 5 minutes in bed!

Would you suggest adding milk to this or is the water best for quick release?

I think it's nicer with water. Less sickly.

    It's personal taste though.

Had a Strawberry complan this morning, could taste that it was very sugary.......I'm tempted to have a complan in the morning and last thing at night? I have noticed some weight gain, measured myself compared to one yr ago......the only thing to have changed was my waist! Went from 29.5" to 30.5" I always thought i was a 36" chest.............measured up and its only 33"?? How strange? I'm like a big rectangle!

    COMPLAN
    Protein 15.4%
    Carbohydrates 61.1%
    of which sugars 40.1%
    Fat 14.8%

Eugh. Why are you drinking this stuff? You'd be better off buying a weight gainer which isn't full of sugar, or even better, making your own. Protein is low, it is almost half sugar, and there is a lot of fat in there, most lkely not good fats.
I'm sure it's not cheap either.
My home made weight gainers only cost about 25p a go and are:

    Cals 616.7
    Protein 50.6g
    Carbs (low GI) 72.2g
Fat (Flax and nut oil) 14.2g

Yeah the complan is £2.60 a box (4 servings)

Daveo did it take your system a while to get into the swing of them home made shakes? I had one on Friday and had diarrhoea the whole day....Kinda put me off but if its a passing thing i dont mind braving the storm! lol.

I was thinking about taking them home made shakes 3 times a day as snacks, I suppose if i didnt hit the gym this would turn to fat rather than muscle??

    Appreciate the advice

    Cheers

    agreed .
try eating a small brekfast and slowly increase the amount of food over a few weeks .

or try drinking some mint tea first thing , this gets my appetite going well .

Maybe try leaving out the milk and using water instead. Lactose can give you the ****s.
