Don't want to repeat a subject that is probably located somewhere already, so can someone point me in a direction to read about burnout symptoms +/- cures?

thanks

Do a search by the name it's called more often, 'Over training' or 'Overtraining'

in the past i've done 100 rep burnouts on bench with a buddy of mine and trust me, that was the dumbest thing ever. i got no pump, no growth, nothing, just a waste of energy and i'm sure other harmful things.

Remedy - Take a week off training every 2-3 months and rest.

Aye rest and food are the only cure. As already mentioned take a week out from lifting. It's common to exhaust your CNS (Central Nervous System) after a few months solid training non-stop putting a brake on your gains.
