calories from olive oil

i was just reading that olive oil has 120 cals per tablespoon.

would anyone advise against eating 5 tablespoons a day to add an extra quick 600 cals?

maybe if you need 600kcal from fats it would be a good idea to get them from other sources (ie not JUST olive oil).

Today I've had tin mackeral (protein, fat), veg and sweet spud, and just this min polished off tin tuna with 1.5 teaspoons of olive oil over it, with veg and sweet spud.
I'll be eating the same thing at 3.30pm

I know oil is calorie dense but 600cal from it sounds a lot, it does of course depend if you require that much and if you like it!

sure. being greek we eat a lot of salads with olive oil.. just adding cals for bulking looks like a very easy way, and i think i could use a lot more fats, not getting anywhere near enough,

100ml provides over 800cals with about 90g fat,
Diesel it sounds like u have same problem as me, not getting enough fats.
Im gonna start having 50ml a day in 1 of my homemade weightgainers.

    dieselplus,
like i said previously up the thread why do you need to source all your fats from olive oil? Is it just for ease?

not using just to add fats, mainly to add cals, but because i am eating a lot more carbs im guessing there shouldnt be any problem adding the fat from the olive oil.

I had this question a while back too. 100ml had about 800kcals and 90g fat. That was way too much so I stopped using 20ml in my omlette and had scrambled my eggs instead.
