cashew nuts

hi, i had problems with my diet ie it was crappy and had v little fruit and no control over fat amounts

ive sorted it now and eat only pasta, rice, chicken breasts and fruit

as u can see theres no essential oils in there yet! i cant stomach any of the fish i dont really like any fish at all, i hate the avocados they are not for me so my question is can i get all my essential oils if i eat cashews everyday and them olive oil capsules u get with omega fish oils in?

Salds with Olive Oil dressing is a good way. Not sure if you can get your essential oils from Cashews but I am addicted to them. The shop round the corner sells them raw (unsalted with no oil) and they are lovely.

All nuts are a great source of good fats

Avocados, seeds, and olives are also great sources of natural plant based EFAs

Is there a reason why you only eat these foods?

If all I ate were those I think I would get bored pretty quickly.

For example if all my protein came from chicken breasts I think I would throw the towel in after a week.

Just my opinion but would aim for a much bigger variety of food... there's loads of good food to choose from.

i meant to say that that is the bulk of my diet, i sometimes swap the chicken for lean beef mince or tuna but i prefer chicken and i want to be big that much that i dont care about eating same foods lol

as long as i get lots of fruit and lots of protien and kcals il be ok? justr wanted to make sure that all the essential oils that i need can be gotten from just cashew nuts

is 100g of cashew nuts a day enough essential oils ?

Fair enough. I used to eat loads of chicken - I now eat it a lot less as I am now pretty bored of it. I still probably have it once a day - but out of approx 7 meals it isnt that much.

Depends on your goals. I assume you are trying to gain muscle as a priority? I think as long as your intake reflects your goals, level of activity and taste then you'll be fine. (you forgot to mention fat above! But I see this alot on here - fat seems to be an after thought - I was the same untill I knew better)

I'd say no. Cashews are rich in Omega 9's - wot about 3's and 6's?

    Good reads on fat...

Depends on goals, lifestyle and the rest of your diet. So I can't really say at the minute. But as above I wouldnt source all my fat from just cashews.
