check this routine please?

hey im going to start with the 5x5 routine 3 day split. how does this sound.
 
Monday: Bench Press
               Military Press
               Close Grip Bench Press
               Incline DB Press
               Decline DB Press
               Flyes
               Cable Flyes (chest)
               Reverse Flyes (shoulders)
               Tricep Pull Down
 
Tuesday: Close Grip Pull Ups
                DB Rows
                Deadlifts
                Shrugs
                Bicep Curls
               
Wednesday: Calf Raise
                     Leg Press (machine)
                     Leg Push Down (machine)
                     15 minutes of Ab work

    Pretty awful to be honest.
     
    Way too much volume on Push day, nowhere near enough volume on Legs day. If you are able to do 5x5 on all those exercises on Monday then you are not training anywhere near hard enough. And why no squats? And it's not a 3 day split if you are doing it on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (I presume you are going to start over again on Thursday?). You need time to rest in between sessions, that's when you grow.
     
    A better routine would be along the lines of:
     
    Monday
    Bench Press
    Overhead Press
    Dips
    Skull Crushers
     
    Wednesday
    Deadlift
    Chin Ups
    Bent-Over Rows
    Curls
     
    Friday
    Squat
    SLDL
    Lunges
    Calf Raise

    "Be adequate"

    Thats what my problem was. at the end i couldnt use all my effort in them. Cheers il give that a go and see how it goes :)
