chin ups (basic question)

Hi there guys, I am 210lbs (50lbs over weight). I was wondering what exercises do i need to keep doing to be able to lift my self and what muscle does chin up uses the most? biceps or triceps or any other?

How much KG do i need to be able to lift with each arms to sucessfully pull of a chin up.

Pull up movements recruit the biceps and upper back mainly

If you cannot perform chins etc with bodyweight, then use the lat pull down machine until you gain enough strength.
