cleans and ohead press

after I do cleans on back day my traps are sore from the shrugging. when push day comes my traps are still sore, yet I work the military press anyway. is this alright?

    I think so. There is always going to a certain amount of overlap between muscle groups (especially shoulders). Military press is primarily a deltoid movement anyway.

    i'll stick with it then. what about lats being sore and still benching? same thing?

    not so sure myself, i am a solid beliver in, if you need to recover, then do it. i bet you train in weeks don't you?! my advice is to stop it. train in days, if your on a 3day a week split, just make it a 3 day split. so depending on recovery rate, you might train:
    #1mon/#2thurs/#3sun/#1wed/#2sat/#3tue etc etc etc
    instead of #1mon/#2wed/#3fri/#1mon etc etc etc

    in the meantime, also try bringing your GPP up to speed, this will aid recovrey whilst bringing up your work capacity and muscular endurance

    general physical preparedness. its all about recovery and conditioning. have a read @
    elitefts.com, some fantasic articles on all aspects of lifting,GPP being one of them

    Note; muscle soreness is NOT an indication of muscle fatigue.

    nor is it an indicator of a productive workout, nor when it goes does tht indicate you are fully recovered.

    This is the reason i didnt train this morning cos i am spent from clean and pressing, i may train this evening if not i will do it tuesday
