Start the day with a good breakfast, no carbs but fillet steak and 2 eggs fried if you like. Every 2 hours eat 200gms of turkey and some banana. Only sip water until you pump up. 1 hour before I drink 2 glasses of white wine with some glycerine. When you start pumping up drink water and take a couple of Niacin to help your vascularity.

    HI BJ

It kinda depends where you are with your water and carb manipulation.

If you are carb loading you will be eating high moderate GI carbs on the day before still, though less frequently than the 2 days prior to this.

As for fluid/sodium it depends whether you are chossing to sodium load and deplte, or just restict your water.

I have covered both regimens in detail in the Bodybuilding Competition Preparation section of Informed Bodybuilding Nutrition.

The night before is when you re-assess how things are looking. Too flat? Maybe have some mroe carbs. Look like you're ok? cut carbs to moderate. Looking bloated? Cut carbs low.

Unfortunately you have to play it by ear. You need to good freinds at this time to be honest about your progress.

In the morning have a light breakfast, carbs as are required. Then like 21gun says - eat 2hourly - protein and a banana.

I would use dry white wine at night and have a glass with breakfast too.

Pre stage have simple carbs - Kendell mint cake is good, or chocolate. Also have a tot of rum or similar - this is good for vascularity as well as confidence!. The niacin is a must too - experiment with this before the show though to see the time lag you need it.

    Any more Qs on this?

Try it this week and see. You should just need 500mg 20-30mins before the show - no need to load (do not get the non-flushing type!)

James is not taking the p155....niacin causes you to 'flush' and makes you look like you're permanently blushing!

yes - and you can get some types which are 'non-flushing' varieties, as this is often regarded as a negative side effect. You'll see what I mean when you pop to the shops
