generally 'normal fat' cottage cheese will have more calories coming from saturated fat, which for most, is not desireable

although even full fat cottage cheese does not contain loads of fat.

how much should i have before bed?

    at least a certain amount

although i would say more than a few tubs would be costly and not optimal

    dont eat it then
although its a good addition its not a requirement
    find food you like
    whey in milk
quark cheese (please run a search)
    whey and flax
    nuts and protein bar

can all be used to similar effect

    tuna
    mackeral
    chicken
    turkey
    pennut butter

I also sometimes have some oatcakes and whey, or fruit etc etc. I also tend to train late so often have quite a substantial pro/carbs/fat meal before bed.

the list is endless and also should be varied. I probably eat cottage cheese 3-4times a week.
