Well, that would make it a new world record at your body weight. So let me guess, you are 100% natural, only take creatine and have been training 1 year?????

What are you talking about! The world record deadlift for the 198lb class was set by Ed Coan at 859lb! This guy has only deadlifted 570lbs.

And also unlike many people who post about their imaginary lifts Adam is trying to get in touch with people in Cambs - should count for something. So apologies for my little remark earlier!

my post was an exageration... hence the 100% natural, creatine and 1 year training.

It is still an unbelieveable lift. Only pictures would allow me to believe it.

People who are into power and strength training would normally take pics (edit scruffy). surely you can see why ozzy has said take the pic. anyone can post a 6 plate dead for reps in writting.
Adam dont tell me you also squat 650 without wraps or a belt for a set of 20 but your not into power training you just do it purely for your lacrosse training or some similar ****

i do deadlifts as part of a weight training/bodybuilding routine and like to think that my deadlift is quiet good, so i posted it on here to see, im not a powerlifter or anything like that and wouldnt dream of taking pics, (edit scruffy)! no i cant squat what ever u said, in fact i can hardly be bothered to squat any more the most i ever did was 170kg for 7-8 yes with a belt! oh and my deadlift was for 1 rep! i never once said it was for reps! you lot need to chill out.

OK everyone - adam is new here and some comments made by many are flaming - we dont want that here please. Whilst I agree Adam's lifts are definitly questionnable, please question in a constuctive manor.

Which gym in Cambs do you train at Adam? Welcome to the site BTW - please post in the other forums here as you must have some good knowledge to share

Not questionable at all, good lift. My mate weighs 12.5 stone (about 175lb) and he deadlifted 649lb at Doncaster at the weekend drug free. Well done Adam!

I don't deadlift any where near that anymore. I have deadlifted 240kg though at a body weight of 215 lbs and using gear. a 6 plate deadlift is not that common if you ask me, especially not at 196lbs. I currently weigh about 175 lbs and deadlift 185 kg (yes i can get a pic if you would like).

At a bodyweight of 196 lbs that would make you 90k roughly (give or take .5 of a kg). In the east midlands 2002 powerlifting competition in the powerlifting grading day the highest body weight individual was Stuart Hamilton. He posted a body weight of 89.8kg which is basically identical to you. He posted a 180Kg deadlift and a 170k squat. The highest deadlift recorded was 200kg. So, as you can see, i find your lift quite unbelieveable.

    http://www.hamiltonsfitness.co.uk/competiton_results_2002.htm

That is why i said only pictures would make me believe it. Whether you have any reason to lie or not does not bother me to be honest. I have been on these forums long enough and been lifting long enough that i know when something is questionable in my mind. If you do truely lift that weight then great, but i won't believe it until i see a picture of it. Sorry if that offends you.

I have no envy for anything in these forums. I lift for myself, not to beat records. If i wanted to compete i would.

My only concern with these lifts is for the interest of members. When an individual posts a lift like this then other, less experienced members are in awe and automatically follow any advice that is given by this individual to try obtain the same goal. This information is not necessarily safe. All i am trying to do is install some caution for the safety of others, but most people seem to just want to boost their ego and try to put down those with others interests in mind.

    Sorry i bother.
