deadlift :(

anyone got any ideas how to improve my 185kg deadlift? i deadlift once a week and do box-squats, kneeling squats (not pleasant) and good mornings (180kg for 8 reps) to try to help but not much is working. i use a sumo stance normally and if i get it moving from the floor i almost always allways lock it out-chers

Hello mate, you finally visited then.

Hopefully you'll get some good help from some good guys. Incidently ppl, he lifts scarey weights, especially for his size, lets get his DL the same, cos it defies logic!

Whats your stiff leg Dl like? You might look into o.lifts such as power cleans to improve power from the ground. What assistance work do you do for your DL?

welcome to the site mate, which part of the deadlift are you finding the problems in?
have you had a look at westside training as this will help enormously and you can adapt to suit your needs..

You use as much weight for your good morning than your deadlift? I was thinking than good morning wasn't an exercise to use heavy weights. If you use 180kg on Good morning you must have a really strong lower back!
