deadlifts...

Hey all...the other day i was doing deadlifts as usual and this time i added a bit more weight on.
the next day i felt like i really had done my back in even tho i could do the deadlift..
Just wdonering if i had done it right? can any one give me help on how to deadlift correctly??

    If just starting them you should avoid heavy for a while IMO.
    As far as form - try a search under deadlift form....tons of discussion on this in past. WELCOME TO THE DEAD CLUB!!!!!AAAAAAAArrrrrrrrrghhh

    You need to learn to distinguish between DOMS and injury.
    I get quite bad DOMS in the spinal erector muscles (highlighted in yellow)


    Chances are if you have pain here its just DOMS.

    Do you squat aerohead? I used to suffer uncomfortable back after deadlifting, now i put deads and squats as far apart in my routine as possible, ie, deads mon, squat thur/fri. Problem solved!

    Hey all thanx for all the advice, i have not started squats yet i only do lunges and leg workout stuff on machines..
