Happens all the time, however a public forum must have and abide by a certain set of rules and MT goes a long way so as not to be discriminatory. Opinions, everyone has one, but not all the same and a line in the sand has to be drawn as to what is acceptable on a public forum. It's a different story when discussing in private.

I have opinions that some may find offensive, so I keep them to myself, others have opinions I may find offensive, I hope they keep them to themselves, but I believe in your right to have an opinion

LOL,occasionally things happen like this on forums - unintentionally rules are broken, the written word doesnt convey everything we intend and our words seem wrong - not as we intended, just godda let it ride, move on and enjoy a cup of tea.

it is difficult to move on when i am not an offensive person and given the chance would have explained my position. however i take your point and will remember not to upset the smooth running of the mt.i did think it was ok to make a point of view, had i realised this is not the case and would be offensive to anyone here i would not have chosen those words.thanks for your replys i will now move on

Yes. There are also rules on MT which you accept when you become a member and are available for you to peruse on request. The obvious reason why your earlier replies were edited were that what was said in them was deemed to be offensive.

That you may have better explained yourself at a later date was, for you, a chance missed. Like many here I'm a member of many forums and have been a member of one or two where there were no rules as such. I even mod on others. I'll give you a guess as to what happened to the un ruled forums - they lasted a matter or weeks. In the case of one it was removed by the ISP.

From what I saw and the replies it's patently obvious that the post you had made were quite simply out of order. In spite of the blurb used in AOL's adverts on the TV the internet has some rules and most of these have been chosen by it's very own users. It's why there are so few systems and code for the programming and why even on open to all forums you shouldn't think that this means you can say something that the sites own rules prohibit nor that if the rules allowed that people will respect your opinion even if it's wrong.

One particular phrase which stuck out was your brief explantion of unnatural. I think it amounted to same sex breeding - ie: two guys cannot have kids any more than two women can. I only made it as far as CSE grade 2 in Biology and while it may be true in humans its not true in nature and hence is natural. From a purely hetrosexual point of view the idea of having less competition for mates (ie: women) appeals to me so the more gays the merrier cos I get more birds

I've never had a real problem with free speech except some abuse it. It's one thing to be able to say what's on your mind but you should do so with two more in place.

The first is try and have a proper point to make. Far too many bigots abuse free speech regardless of how stupid what they say and whether or not they actually speak the truth. The second is to be aware that you can offend someone. If you are entitled to say how you feel then so are they.

Finally be aware - MT allows you a soap box but can just as easily remove it. You accept that by walking through it's doors. Far better, in my opinion, when politics, questions of sexuality and religeon get thrown into the mix to stick to what we all share. We put aside our differences and focus on bodybuilding, strength, fitness and the healthy lifestyle. As in a gym MT then becomes a place where all - A-L-L - kinds can mix. Remember that.
